Mr. Ron Chidsey
Ron founded Chidsey Seminars in 2002 in order to help parents help their kids. Ron Chidsey is an experienced leader of the Parenting the Love and Logic Way™ workshop, the "Early Childhood Parenting Made Fun! workshop and the Love and Logic workshop for teachers entitled "9 Essential skills for the love and Logic Classroom®". He was trained at the Love and Logic facilitator's seminar in Denver, Colorado and has served as the Director of Parent Education for a grant-funded program out of Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio from 2002-2005. Ron is a career educator working with schools for over 45 years as a teacher, counselor and parent educator. He is also served as an adjunct professor for Ashland University, Ashland, Ohio.
Ron has a Bachelor of Science degree from Baldwin-Wallace College, and Master's Degrees in Educational Counseling and Curriculum/Instruction from Cleveland State University, . In 2001, he was honored by Baldwin-Wallace College as the recipient of their Outstanding Educator of the Year Award. He was named a Martha Jennings Holden Outstanding Teacher in 1981 and selected as a National Science Foundation Excellent Science Teacher in 1984.
Mr. Don Berkey
Don Berkey joins the Chidsey Seminars team as a consultant after 36 years in public education as a classroom teacher and school counselor. He received training at the Love and Logic Institute facilitator workshops in Denver, Colorado, and has experience teaching the Love and Logic techniques.
Don received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Wooster and a Masters of Education in Counseling from Cleveland State University. He has presented at state and national conventions in both the education and counseling fields. He was named a Martha Jennings Holden Outstanding Teacher in 1999 and was recognized at the local PTA Founder's Day ceremony by receiving the "Lifetime Membership" award by the National PTA .
